High Blood Pressure Measuring:

High Blood Pressure is also called hypertension. The normal blood pressure reading is 120/80 mm of Mercury. The first number mentioned in blood pressure measuring is the systolic pressure and second number is diastolic pressure.

Patients in the pre-hypertension stage have diastolic blood pressure within range of 120-139 and systolic pressure ranges 80-89.  It is called silent blood pressure the person does not experience any symptoms for years and hence they are not aware they are suffering from blood pressure.
